Horrabridge is a lively and thriving village, which has things to do for all age groups. The following are just a few examples of the wide range of clubs, groups, organisations, societies that exist within the village.

Horrabridge Rangers, the local football team, play their home matches at Fillace Park. Pictured are the under 15 team, but there are also seven or eight other teams spanning all ages. Contact Andrea Taylor 01822 852470

Activities in all three groups are designed to encourage self-confidence, team building and life skills, are adventurous and challenging. Programmes are fun and designed to encourage social interaction, self-confidence, creative and practical skills, an awareness of and desire to explore the world around them.

The Cavaliers are a group established to support village causes, mainly through meeting requests for funding from other Village organisations. Various fund-raising events are held in the course of each year. With an emphasis on the social, they meet on a monthly basis, usually the last Friday of each month. National Women's Register (NWR) meet on average fortnightly in people's houses. There are 25 members. Among the items discussed are: terrorism; what our mothers did in the war; which three books we would take to a desert island; reiki, reflexology and healing; and the food we eat. Twinning Association was formed in 1974, when the village 'twinned' with Tilly Sur Seulles, a French village between Caen and Bayeuxin Normandy. Visits to Tilly Sur Seulles take place alternate years. The association hold several social events to assist with funds, including hosting a village quiz. Contact Jan Cooper 01822 852482
